Personal care is a home health care service that supports unhealthy individuals with essential routine activities, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding, for individuals who can’t perform independently and require a helping hand. Personal care services may also include assistance with mobility, medication management, and appointment transportation. Personal care services aim to help individuals regain their functional dependence and achieve a quality of life by providing the necessary support and assistance to carry out their daily tasks and basic skills safely and comfortably in their homes.

Companions

Companionship is a supportive care service that aims to provide emotional and social support to individuals who may experience isolation or feelings of loneliness or distress due to sickness or environment affecting their mental health. It includes:
Engaging in conversation.
Playing games.
Accompanying individuals on walks or outings.
Providing transportation to social events or appointments.
The primary goal of companionship services is to enhance individuals’ overall well-being and mental state through empathy, love, trust and caring, and meaningful social interactions. Companionship services can be particularly beneficial for individuals who live alone, have limited or no social networks, or are recovering post-illness or after surgery. These reduce feelings of loneliness, depression, and anxiety and promote a sense of affection and belonging.
